Yawning, Susan unsnuggled herself from her duvet-nest and looked over at the clock on her bedside table. Eleven AM? She groaned, she had missed breakfast, potions and half of herbology. She was so screwed.
Rolling onto the floor, she quickly got dressed and ran towards the Hospital Wing. There was only one way to get out of trouble: pretend to be sick.

Laying in the hospital wing, Susan closed her eyes, her mind wandering to how this morning had happened. She knew her alarm went off, she knew she had heard her friends leaving, why hadn't she got up? Why was she so lazy?

She worked hard, she knew she did, but it wasn't because it was what she wanted, it was because of her family, her Hufflepuffian family. She had always been the odd one out, all she wanted was to fit in, but she was sick of it. Sick of the effort, of trying, it was too much.

Lazy Susan. That was her. She settled down into her pillow where she would remain for the rest of the day.

Trust
"Don't you trust me?" Harry, usually so brave, the hero, the champion but now was just nervous, holding the hand of the girl beside him.

"Of course I do." She replied softly. "I just didn't think you wanted to be seen with me. That's what you said, wasn't it?" Her voice unusally bitter.

"I didn't mean that." He replied firmly, though his face betrayed what he tried to hide under his bravado.

Through the door they went, his hand gripping hers so tightly. They went and grabbed a seat on the same table as Hermione and Ron.

"Hey guys." Harry said brightly.

"Oh, hey Harry. And...Luna!" Hermione responded, shocked as she turned to see them together.

"Oh, hello Hermione." Luna replied, calm again. They sat and Harry began loading up his plate with lunch, all one handed, the other was still entwined with hers, right on the table for all to see.

Accio
"Harry! HARRY!" Hermione screamed. "Will you just WAIT UP?"

But he wasn't listening, he didn't want to hear it anymore.

"Harry." She said, more softly now she had caught up with him. She grabbed his shoulder but he shrugged her off.

"I don't know what the hell you think you're playing at Hermione. But I just don't want to know. I've had enough." He snarled.

"But Harry, look I'm just trying to-"

"Butt, the fuck, out, Hermione, seriously. It's not your fucking business." He snapped, wrenching his arm so hard out of her grip that a shooting pain went up it.

"Harry, please. I know it's not my business, but I'm still your friend. And I'm still Ginny's friend." She paused. "So it's a little bit of my business."

"You don't know the whole story, Hermione, you don't have any idea what's really going on, you don't have a clue."

"Well Accio Clue then, Harry. If I'm not allowed an opinion without a clue, why don't you give me one." Hermione spat, uncharacteristically sarcastic.

"Why don't you ask your best friend Ginny?" He sighed, "Because I don't want to talk about it anymore."

Hopeful
"Episky." Harry muttered, tapping his wand on Luna's hand, which glowed momentarily, before her ring finger straightened, the bone fixed.

"I'm sorry, Harry, that whole thing was my fault. And now...now I've lost your ring." Ginny looked sad, he hated seeing her that way- it wasn't who she was at all and he didn't like what the war was doing to her.

"Ring, scming. It's fine, I'll get you a new one when this is all over." He said, the ring may have been important to him, not just because he gave it to her, but also because it belonged to Sirius, but it still didn't mean anything as much to him as she did and escaping that scuffle with just a broken finger was a godsend to him. "Let me clean that up." He took a rag and washed the blood of her face, by hand- no magic needed. He liked doing it that way, and he knew she thought it was funny.

"I want that ring though, I want Sirius' ring." Ginny replied, wincing away from his touch.

"Fine, then we'll get it back. One of the death eaters will have it, and we'll just keep beating them up until we find it. Never fear, my love." He responded jovially. "And until then, well you can wear this!" He picked up a twig from the ground and tapped it with his wand, it suddenly bcame pliable and he wrapped it round her finger. "It's the thought that counts, right? Now, lets get some sleep."

"Tomorrow will be better?" Ginny asked, looking up at him.

"Tomorrow will be better." He replied, kissing her on the nose.

Reparo
"It's...Oh Merlin." Ginny moaned. "I can't believe it."

"It's...it's f-f-ine." Harry stuttered, blinking madly.

"It's not fine Harry, Oh Merlin it's broken." Ginny cried, passionate. "My ring! Sirius' ring! It's broken." She burst into tears and it was all Harry could do to stop himself from doing the same. He just couldn't speak, any sound from his mouth could betray how he felt, how he felt as broken as the ring in Ginnys hand.

"Reparo." She spluttered, pointing her wand at it, but nothing would happen, they both knew that. The damage was too much.

"Reparo." She muttered through her tears.

Terrified
"Are you okay with this?" Harry looked over at Luna and she nodded.

"Of course, I'm not scared." She responded, firmly and he knew she was telling the truth, not only because she always did but because he could just look at her and know. Her whole face, her whole self, was just so honest.

"Me either." He agreed as they drew their wands and moved closer to the door. "I'm not scared."

All he wanted to do, all he wanted was to run. He wasn't scared, he was terrified but he couldn't do that. Not with Dumbledore's Army behind him, with Luna standing next to him.

"Let's go." He said, and they advanced.
